Concrete Polisher/ Concrete Detailer

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Grinding and Polishing person to perform high-quality installation projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in concrete grinding and polishing finishes, with strong leadership skills to ensure project success. When not performing grinding and polishing work other duties will include sealing/detailing concrete flatwork and joining structural concrete wall crews to supplement regular hours.

Key Responsibilities

· Surface Preparation: Cleaning, leveling, and repairing imperfections in concrete surfaces before polishing.

· Equipment Operation: Setting up and operating various polishing and grinding machines, including SASE grinders, hand grinders, and edgers.

· Polishing Process: Applying abrasives, densifiers, and sealers to achieve the desired finish, using various techniques and materials.

· Quality Control: Inspecting surfaces during and after polishing to ensure they meet quality standards.

· Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE).

· Collaboration: Working with project managers, construction teams, and other stakeholders.

· Maintenance: Maintaining and cleaning equipment to ensure optimal performance.

· Material Knowledge: Understanding different types of concrete surfaces and their specific polishing requirements.

· Finishing and Coatings: Applying concrete sealer.

· Concrete Repair: Identifying and addressing cracks, joints, and other imperfections in the concrete.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in concrete grinding and polishing.
• Flexible; must be able to travel and work days, nights, and weekends as required to complete projects.
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.
• Bilingual is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent team player: trustworthy, honest, responsible, reliable, positive attitude, quick learner, believes in always doing their best work.
• Wants to continually grow, improve, and master the craft of concrete grinding and polishing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods
• Comfortable working in various environmental conditions
• Capable of operating heavy equipment and power tools
• Ability to work at heights using ladders and scaffolding when necessary

Work Environment

• Primarily residential and commercial sites
• May require travel to various job locations
• Standard work hours with potential for overtime and weekend work

Job Types: Part-time or Full-Time
