POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards, methods, instructions, and quality planning on assigned programs. Perform supplier surveys, internal audits, and process audits. Support engineering, manufacturing, program management and quality groups by performing the following duties.
POSITION DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES
- Provide technical direction and support to inspection.
- Review and approve drawings and product build (work orders) documentation.
- Review product discrepancies in manufacturing, perform investigations and coordinate with manufacturing and engineering to resolve problems.
- Document, track and communicate Quality Plans, test results, analysis & unresolved problems.
- Perform AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports
- Represent Quality Assurance for interface with customer, supplier, and government related issues (i.e., certifications, data, Corrective Actions, etc.).
- Perform supplier surveys, as assigned.
- Review supplier purchase requisitions and apply appropriate quality requirements.
- Support assigned Quality Assurance tasks, as required.
- Review customer Purchase Orders and contract requirements to communicate quality requirements perform internal and process audits, as assigned.
Qualifications:
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Micrometers, height gauges, etc.
- NDT Ultrasonic Testing experience, Level II preferred
- Tensile testing and lap shear testing
- Working knowledge of Mil-Spec and government contract requirements.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems requirements.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required.
- ROMER Arm experience, PCDMIS, Verisurf, Polyworks
- Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance required for assigned programs.
Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Preferred. Or equivalent experience
Field of Study: or related field and/or equivalent experience.
Experience: 2 years plus of Quality Engineer experienceExperience working in a manufacturing environment
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
