The ideal candidate for this position would be able to do the following:
- Load and unload material from trucks.
- Receive and record computer entries for all inbound materials.
- Package and prepare finished goods, work in process and other materials for shipment.
- Perform necessary identification and paperwork in connection with shipments or receiving where close attention to detail is required.
- Handle in-plant materials.
- Pick up and deliver materials, work in process inventory and packaging materials.
- Return correctly identified materials to proper location in inventory.
- Perform necessary identification and inventory paperwork.
- Successfully complete forklift certification program.
- Practice safe and alert material handling at all times.
- Perform pre-shift maintenance checks of designated forklift equipment and associated record keeping.
- Must be able to plan for movement of needed parts and material for paint.
- Keep all materials and products neat and organized.
- Assist production operators with timely delivery of products and containers, as needed.
- Minimally drive truck on roads and highways transporting materials and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
