Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Biomed/Electronics Technician role based in Pigeon, MI. The technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of medical and electronic equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Daily tasks include performing preventive maintenance, documenting service activities, and following established procedures and regulatory standards. The role also involves reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics, collaborating with team members and clinical staff to prioritize service requests, and assisting with equipment installation, upgrades, and configuration. The technician is expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, manage tools and parts inventory, and support continuous improvement of service processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Electronics Technology and Electricity, with the ability to read schematics and understand electronic circuits.
  • Hands-on skills in Soldering and component-level repair for electronic boards and assemblies.
  • Proficiency in Troubleshooting, including systematic diagnosis of faults in medical and electronic equipment.
  • Experience with Maintenance & Repair of biomedical devices or related electronic systems, including preventive and corrective service.
  • Associate degree, technical diploma, or military training in biomedical equipment technology, electronics, or a related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare, hospital, or clinical environments and applicable safety and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, Joint Commission) is beneficial.
  • Ability to use test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, safety analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Effective communication, documentation, and time-management skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to customer sites as needed.
