Advanced Clinical Research is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Clinical Research Assistant to join our team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with patients, staying organized, and supporting a busy clinical research office. You will be the first point of contact for many of our patients while also assisting the research team with daily study-related and administrative tasks.
We are looking for someone who is professional, compassionate, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling multiple responsibilities throughout the day.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls, respond to general questions, and direct calls to the appropriate team member.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out.
- Collect and verify patient information, identification, and required paperwork.
- Assist Clinical Research Coordinators with preparing study documents and visit materials.
- Help organize patient charts, source documents, laboratory reports, and regulatory paperwork.
- Enter basic patient and study information into electronic systems as assigned.
- Contact potential study participants for prescreening and appointment scheduling.
- Assist with recruitment efforts, including responding to study inquiries and following up with interested patients.
- Assist with filing, scanning, copying, faxing, and other administrative duties.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA, ICH-GCP, and company policies.
- Communicate professionally with patients, investigators, coordinators, sponsors, and other office staff.
- Support the research team with additional tasks as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a medical office, clinical research site, or healthcare setting.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Professional and compassionate attitude when working with patients.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
- Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and scheduling systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Clinical research experience.
- Bilingual English and Spanish.
