The position requires customer service and an interest in learning in order to assist optometrists in delivering exceptional patient care. No experience is necessary to apply. Job Type: Full-time in person
Location: 363 Center St STE 2 Auburn, ME 04210 (we are in the same building as Eyemart Express)
Starting Salary: $17.00 per hour
Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM; no weekend hours; four 10 hour shifts.

Responsibilities
- Assist optometrists during eye exams by preparing patients and explaining procedures.
- Perform preliminary tests such as visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception assessments.
- Manage patient flow and schedule appointments using electronic health record systems.
- Educate patients on contact lens insertion and removal and proper contact lens care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the exam rooms and equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the overall patient experience.
Skills
- Communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to perform tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for patient care, ensuring that each individual receives personalized attention during their visit.
- Experience with electronic health records helpful but not required.
