Overview
We are seeking a Building Maintenance Technicians to support a large-scale, multi-product biologics manufacturing facility operating 24/7. This is a hands-on role requiring strong facilities knowledge, experience in regulated environments, and the ability to coordinate and perform maintenance activities with minimal impact to manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform maintenance and repairs for building systems to support biologics manufacturing operations
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical (120V), elevator, and roofing systems
- Perform mechanical maintenance including flush valve rebuilds, fixture and faucet replacement
- Perform work across mechanical, plumbing, pipefitting, and carpentry trades
- Maintain and repair process-related equipment such as door hardware, elevators, plumbing fixtures, and kitchen equipment
- Conduct daily facility rounds and complete log sheets
- Read and work from SOPs, OEM manuals, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs
- Perform minor repairs including drywall patching, installing Kydex sheeting, and wall-mounted equipment
- Operate forklifts and high-reach equipment for building and outbuilding repairs
- Complete all required GxP documentation, including logbooks, log sheets, and work orders
- Enter and confirm maintenance activities in SAP
- Perform work in cleanroom environments while following all gowning and safety requirements
- Remain active throughout the workday, responding to facility needs as they arise
Qualifications
- Working knowledge (Level I) of building systems: plumbing, electrical (120V), elevators, roofing
- Experience performing mechanical and general facilities maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret SOPs, schematics, and P&IDs
- Experience using SAP for work orders and documentation
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, etc)
- Familiarity with GxP environments preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts and high-reach equipment (or willingness to be trained)
- Strong attention to detail and documentation practices
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Must be Bilingual (Spanish)
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred Experience
- Pharmaceutical, biologics, or life sciences facility experience
- Previous lead or supervisory maintenance experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment
- Ability to work at heights using ladders or lifts
