We are also seeking a bilingual Spanish speaking adjuster to secure telephonic statements and summarizing those statements into a report.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and evaluate workers’ compensation claims by reviewing medical reports, accident reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Apply workers' compensation law and insurance regulation principles to determine claim validity and appropriate benefits.
- Utilize Xactimate and other estimating software to accurately assess property damage or injury-related costs.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants, healthcare providers, and legal representatives to reach fair resolutions while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Detect potential fraud or suspicious activity through analysis skills and fraud prevention techniques.
- Manage property insurance claims processing related to workplace incidents involving casualty or liability insurance coverage.
- Maintain detailed records of all claim activities, correspondence, and decisions using financial software and organizational tools.
Qualifications
- Valid 620 Workers’ Compensation Adjuster license required; additional casualty or property insurance licenses are a plus.
- Proven experience in workers' compensation law, liability insurance claims processing, and claims adjudication.
- Strong knowledge of insurance law, insurance regulation, and regulatory compliance in claims processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and specialized estimating software such as Xactimate.
- Excellent negotiation skills paired with customer service orientation to handle sensitive situations professionally.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound decisions swiftly.
- Experience with fraud detection techniques and analysis skills for identifying suspicious claims activity.
