Job Description:

We are a caring group of professionals who share a desire to make a difference in a rapidly expanding, non-smoking, natural health clinic. We are looking for an insurance billing specialist who is professional, honest, a great team player, friendly and willing to always give your best. Person hired will be responsible for all insurance billing duties and be cross-trained on receptionist work and patient therapies.
Compensation:
Starting salary $15-$22/hour based on experience and references plus a chance to earn an additional monthly bonus based on total office financial performance.
Requirements:
The chiropractic insurance biller must be a highly energetic, health oriented, enthusiastic, cheerful, and outgoing individual with attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem solving skills. Prefer you have 4 legs, 8 arms and the ability to do 10 things at once! Great people skills and INSURANCE BILLING EXPERIENCE A MUST, great computer skills a big plus. Past receptionist/ chiropractic experience helpful but not needed - will train right person!

Thursday: 12:00 noon - 8:30 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities:
Chiropractic insurance biller responsibilities will include:
· Claim Submission: Preparing and submitting insurance claims for medical procedures and services.
· Patient Account Management: Establishing and maintaining accurate patient accounts, ensuring proper billing procedures.
· Billing Discrepancy Resolution: Identifying and resolving billing errors, communicating with insurance companies to correct mistakes.
· Patient Communication: Handling patient inquiries regarding bills, setting up payment plans, and explaining coverage.
· Payment Processing: Tracking payments, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies.
· Claim Review and Appeals: Reviewing denied claims, preparing and sending appeals to insurance companies.
· Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of billing activities, claims, and payments.
· Compliance: Adhering to insurance regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
· Software Proficiency: Using billing software to calculate, prepare, submit, and review medical bills.
· Collaboration: Working with medical coders and other healthcare professionals.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Pre-Authorization: Obtaining pre-authorization for certain medical procedures.
· Data Entry and Management: Entering and managing patient and billing data.
· Financial Record Keeping: Maintaining organized financial records and preparing reports.
· Collection Efforts: Following up on unpaid bills and working to collect outstanding balances.
· Customer Service: Responding to inquiries from patients, staff, and insurance companies.
Chiropractic insurance biller Skills and Qualities:

· Maintaining inventory of office supplies
· HIPPA compliance
Main therapist responsibilities will include:
· Perform therapeutic modalities per doctor’s instruction
