Customer Support Specialist /Office Assistant (Immediate Opening)

Advanced Chemblocks Inc. is a global supplier of laboratory chemical reagents and services to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. We are seeking a Customer Support Specialist / Office Assistant to join our Hayward, CA team for an immediate opening.
This position will begin as a part-time, hourly role (approximately 4 hours per day), with the potential to increase hours based on business needs and employee interest. The selected candidate will work closely with a teammate to support daily office operations and customer service activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer purchase orders and enter them into the system
- Prepare various shipping documents, including packing lists and FedEx/UPS labels
- Communicate with customers via email and phone regarding order status and general inquiries
- Collaborate with a teammate to prepare documents required for shipments
- Send invoices to customers after shipping, when needed
- File and maintain organized records and documentation
- Assist with light packing (small FedEx/UPS packages only)
- Support other office tasks as needed
Position Requirements
- College degree preferred; high school diploma acceptable
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong team player with a quick learning ability
- Proficient with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, email tools)
- Good typing speed
- Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and open-minded personality
- 2–3 years of work experience preferred
- Compensation will be based on experience
