AAC is seeking a Systems Administrator for our government client in Washington, DC. Candidates do need to be local to the Washington DC area working a hybrid remote schedule.** Some travel involved may be involved**** Candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance **This person will manage, maintain, upgrade, and support Digital Evidence Management Systems, including web-based applications relating to the Axon Evidence.com platform and physical servers. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. Candidates should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.Responsibilities:Administer web-based video retention system using the Evidence.com platformManage, configure, and troubleshoot Windows server, Axon systems, and DevicesPerform software installation, upgrades, and patchingMonitor performance and maintain systems according to requirementsTroubleshoot computer network system issues and outagesAssist users with gaining access to or restricting access to video data and troubleshoot content access issuesMake changes to system categories, tags or other configurations as authorized by the system/business owner and through the change management processEnable e-discovery holds on content and produce content as a part of an authorized e-discovery requestMaintain (Add, Modify, Delete) application user accountsDevelop expertise to train staff on new technologiesMaintain (Create, Modify, Delete) local work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, User Guides, User TrainingUser Account ManagementRequirements:Proven experience as a System Administrator, Infrastructure Specialist, or similar roleExperience servers, applications, networks (LAN, WAN), Windows OS, and patch managementKnowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recoveryFamiliarity with various operating systems and platformsResourcefulness and problem-solving aptitudeExcellent communication skillsBSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) is a plusOther Preferable Skills: Active Directory, Identity management, Data center management, Linux, Database, Script, Bash/PowerShell, Federated identities, Cloud (AWS/Azure), Axon Evidence Management Solutions Company DescriptionAdvanced Automation Consulting, Inc., headquartered in Columbia, SC, is an IT Consulting Services firm focused on the long-term success of our clients and consultants.
