What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician - ABA Therapy position at Advanced Autism Services?
Advanced Autism Services (AAS) is currently hiring dedicated and compassionate Behavior Therapists and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
We are seeking therapists to serve clients across the East and West Valley in home and school settings, as well as at our clinic locations in Mesa and North Phoenix.
Whether you're an experienced RBT, a Behavior Technician pursuing certification, or someone new to the field, we offer the support and flexibility you need to grow and succeed.
Position Details:
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in home, school, and/or clinic settings
- Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision
- Collect behavior data and complete session documentation accurately and timely
- Collaborate with clinical supervisors and communicate progress effectively
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients and families
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain client confidentiality
Work Hours:
- In-home/school: Monday–Sunday, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM (flexible schedule based on availability)
- Clinics (Mesa & North Phoenix): Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Active RBT certification or willingness to complete the certification program
- Ability to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card and Article 9 certification
- Experience with children and/or individuals with autism preferred
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and pass a background check
- Minimum availability of 15 hours per week, with flexibility as caseload increases
No RBT Cert? No problem!
Our training program provides all staff with the full RBT certification within 90 days
The training steps include:
1. 40-hour online ABA course (Must complete before starting)
2. Initial Competency Assessment
3. Take and pass RBT exam
