Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your duties will include assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up equipment
- Take dental x-rays
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following aseptic techniques
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred
- Familiarity with Opendental is a plus
- Proficiency in taking dental x-rays
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Should know both English and Spanish fluently
