About Our Practice

Advance Psychiatry & Wellness is a growing outpatient mental health practice in Miami, Florida, dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based psychiatric care.

Our practice offers psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy. We are expanding our therapy services and seeking a licensed mental health professional to join our collaborative team.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to provide individual psychotherapy to adult patients.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity with per-session compensation and scheduling flexibility based on clinician availability and patient demand.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate, dependable clinician with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and experience delivering evidence-based psychotherapy.

Compensation

• $50 per completed initial psychotherapy evaluation.
• $40 per completed follow-up psychotherapy session.
• Compensation is based on completed patient encounters rather than a fixed hourly wage.
• No guaranteed minimum patient volume.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial mental health assessments and psychosocial evaluations.
• Provide individual psychotherapy to adult patients.
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans.
• Treat anxiety, depression, trauma-related conditions, adjustment disorders, and other mental health concerns within the clinician’s scope of practice.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Monitor treatment progress and update treatment plans as clinically indicated.
• Collaborate with psychiatric providers to coordinate patient care.
• Conduct appropriate risk assessments, safety planning, and referrals when clinically necessary.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Florida licensing regulations, and professional ethical standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Florida LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT license.
• Active individual National Provider Identifier (NPI Type 1).
• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant mental health discipline.
• Ability to independently conduct psychotherapy and clinical assessments.
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Ability to provide services independently within professional scope and standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of outpatient psychotherapy experience.
• Experience providing CBT, DBT-informed treatment, or other evidence-based interventions.
• Experience treating adult psychiatric populations.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Experience with electronic health records and telehealth.
• Existing credentialing with Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial insurance networks.
