Position Summary
The Senior Account Manager acts as a liaison between APIE and all API's US based functional departments to provide assistance on tactical operational matters that pertain to sales and related technical support activities by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Tracks all APIE requests for price and delivery quotations by keeping an active quote list that reflects date of request, date due, who has the action to respond, and date of response.
- Assures that "due dates" on APIE's active quote list are met by working with appropriate API personnel.
- Tracks all APIE booked orders in an effort to assure that delivery schedules are met.
- Assists in obtaining all necessary clearance and acceptance of documentation required in shipping product to APIE or any of it designated customers. This includes European resellers.
- Serves the needs of APIE's staff by coordinating the required support of API US.
- Tracks action items pertaining to APIE.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 3 years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
Computer literacy is required along with a good understanding of computer hardware components, peripherals and systems configurations. Must be able to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.

Must have good interpersonal and problem skills.

The salary ranges below represent a general guideline; however, API considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
The compensation package for this position will consist of a competitive base salary plus commission, with total on-target earnings (OTE) ranging from $175,000 to $300,000 annually. The base salary range is $110,000 to $160,000, with uncapped commission tied to performance. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
