Job Responsibilities

As a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA), your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Providing assistance with walking, transferring, and mobility.
• Assisting with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining proper nutrition.
• Performing light housekeeping, laundry, and other household tasks related to client care.
• Providing medication reminders within the caregiver's authorized scope of practice.
• Accompanying clients to medical appointments, shopping, and other approved activities.
• Offering companionship, emotional support, and social interaction.
• Observing and reporting changes in a client's physical or emotional condition.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.
• Following the client's individualized plan of care and agency policies.
• Accurately documenting services and completing required electronic visit verification (EVV).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid New York State HHA or PCA certification appropriate for the position.
• Compassionate, patient, and professional attitude.
• Reliable, responsible, and punctual.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions.
• Ability to work independently in a home care setting.
• Willingness to complete required onboarding, health screenings, and employment clearances.
• Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required.

Bilingual caregivers are strongly encouraged to apply!
