What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Scrum Master position at Advance Digital Systems?
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to support the Organization in delivering a modern examiner workflow application that replaces and enhances a legacy system leveraging AWS GovCloud services. The Scrum Master will serve as a servant leader, fostering Agile best practices, facilitating team collaboration, removing impediments, and driving continuous improvement to ensure successful product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
· Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
· Coach and mentor teams on Agile principles, self-organization, and continuous improvement.
· Partner closely with Product Owners to manage backlog health, prioritize work, and plan upcoming releases.
· Identify, track, and remove impediments impacting team productivity and delivery.
· Promote Agile best practices across Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks.
· Foster collaboration among Product Owners, development teams, stakeholders, and management.
· Support Agile transformation initiatives and encourage an Agile mindset throughout the organization.
· Track team performance metrics and drive continuous process improvements.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Minimum 10 years of experience leading projects, programs, or business initiatives.
· At least 2 years of IT portfolio management and customer relationship management experience.
· One or more of the following certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
Desired Skills & Experience
· Proven experience serving as a Scrum Master within Agile transformation initiatives.
· Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
· Experience with Agile practices such as User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing, and Agile estimation techniques.
· Demonstrated ability to coach teams, facilitate collaboration, and improve delivery effectiveness.
· Experience supporting cloud modernization or AWS-based application development projects is preferred.
· Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
