Project Overview - The Organization''s is seeking a PeopleSoft Functional Specialist to support enterprise-wide PeopleSoft Financials modernization, implementation, enhancement, and operational support initiatives. The specialist will serve as a key member of the Core Team, providing functional expertise across multiple PeopleSoft Financials modules while ensuring compliance with statewide accounting policies, business processes, and governance standards.

The selected candidate will work closely with agency stakeholders, business users, technical teams, and system integrators to support ongoing implementations, process improvements, testing activities, and production operations.

Position Responsibilities

·        Provide functional support for PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 modules, including Grants, Project Costing, Contracts, and other Financial modules.

·        Gather, analyze, validate, and document business requirements from agency stakeholders and end users.

·        Conduct fit-gap analyses and recommend solutions aligned with organizational and statewide business requirements.

·        Translate business requirements into functional specifications and detailed system requirements.

·        Support PeopleSoft module implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and configuration activities.

·        Develop test scenarios, test scripts, user acceptance testing (UAT) plans, and validation documentation.

·        Coordinate testing activities and assist in issue resolution and defect management.

·        Develop and maintain functional documentation, SOPs, job aids, training materials, and user guides.

·        Collaborate with technical teams, system integrators, and Oracle support personnel to resolve functional issues and implement solutions.

·        Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies and provide recommendations to project leadership.

·        Provide user training, knowledge transfer, and post-implementation support.

Position Requirements

Required Qualifications

·        Extensive experience supporting PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 environments.

·        Strong functional expertise in multiple PeopleSoft Financials modules specifically with Grants, Project Costing, Contracts.

·        Experience supporting PeopleSoft implementations, upgrades, and enhancement projects.

·        Knowledge of financial business processes, accounting principles, and workflow design.

·        Experience gathering requirements, conducting fit-gap analyses, and preparing functional specifications.

·        Experience developing testing documentation and supporting UAT activities.

Preferred Qualifications

·        State government or public-sector experience.

·        Knowledge of statewide accounting procedures and financial governance standards.

·        Experience with current PeopleSoft PUM images and upgrade initiatives.

Experience working with PeopleSoft Testing Framework (PTF)
