Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive pediatric dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis of oral health conditions.
- Provide a wide range of dental treatments such as dental cleanings, restorations, extractions, and pulp therapy tailored to children’s needs.
- Utilize advanced dental technology and imaging techniques to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate young patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and dietary habits to promote lifelong dental health.
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate general dentistry, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics, and oral surgery when necessary.
- Maintain detailed medical records and document procedures accurately using electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including infection control measures and medical documentation requirements.
- Foster a welcoming environment that alleviates anxiety for pediatric patients through effective communication and compassionate care.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid license to practice dentistry in the respective jurisdiction with specialization in pediatric dentistry preferred.
- Proven experience in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry with a focus on children’s oral health within a clinical setting.
- Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical imaging techniques relevant to pediatric care.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to pediatric patients and the ability to perform dental extractions safely when needed.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children and their guardians.
