What are the responsibilities and job description for the Multifamily Construction Estimator position at Advance Construction Technology Inc?
Advance Construction Technology (ACT) specializes in HOA and multifamily reconstruction projects. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an Estimator to perform field take-offs, develop scopes of work for reconstruction projects, prepare accurate estimates, and submit proposals on time. The Estimator will support projects of all sizes, from smaller repairs to multi-million-dollar reconstruction projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform field take-offs of occupied multi-family residential, HOA community and commercial properties
- Read plans and project manual to develop scope of work
- Develop scopes of work for projects without a formal scope
- Understand scopes of work and components of multifamily construction, including:
o Balconies
o Waterproofing
o Windows and Sliding Glass Doors
o Stucco
o Siding
o Painting
o Roofing
- Complete accurate estimates and submit proposals on or before due dates
- Obtain quotations from potential material providers
- Obtain proposals from potential sub-contractors for work that will not be performed in-house
- Administer a hand-off meeting from Estimating to Project Management and Production staff upon award of the contract
- Assist with the preparation of change orders for ongoing projects
- Initiate and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors and vendors
- Work closely with the company’s senior management team to ensure all necessary details are internally communicated to the appropriate parties
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years of multi-family construction estimating experience
- Valid driver's license and the ability to access and travel throughout construction sites during all phases of a project
- Knowledge of reading plans
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
- Adequate freehand drawing skills
- Exceptional communication, i.e., working effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, design professionals, clients and other project managers
- Must have strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize work assignments
- Attention to detail is essential
- Availability to work extended hours as required by project schedules or urgent circumstances
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
