Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled CyberSecurity Specialist to join our dynamic IT security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding our organization's information systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and implementing robust security measures across various platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of network security, incident response, and security analysis, with experience in both cloud and on-premises environments. The CyberSecurity Specialist will play a critical role in protecting sensitive data and maintaining the integrity of our IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- TECHNICAL SPECIALIST - Minimum/General Experience: Ten (10) years of enterprise experience; multiple industry and/or vendor certifications.
- - Functional Responsibility: Design and implementation of specialized solutions, particularly security or data center technologies.
- - Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. Other education and/or experience can be substituted. - Security SME/Technical Specialist in Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
- Tasks will include, but are not limited to: * Identifying relevant Suffolk County Cybersecurity Laws and Regulations
- Creating, Updating Cybersecurity Policy and Standards based on NIST framework * Defining Risk-Based Compliance Audit process against established Cybersecurity Policies and Standards.
- Establishment of Cybersecurity Risk Tracking, Risk Mitigation, and Risk exception processes.
- TECHNICAL ARCHITECT
- - Minimum/General Experience: Eight (8) years of enterprise experience, multiple industry and/or vendor certifications.
- - Functional Responsibility: Design and creation of enterprise class architecture in given technologies; management of project tasks and resources.
- - Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. Other education and/or experience can be substituted.
- Technical Architect tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Review Firewall policies and identify and report cybersecurity gaps
- Review Firewall interface configurations and report cybersecurity gaps
- Review Firewall Zones - Document and Diagram

Experience
- Proven experience in cybersecurity roles with a strong background in computer science or related fields.

Pay: $105,283.98 - $125,911.89 per year
