The role is responsible for ensuring the hardware is running correctly and is managed correctly in terms of contract maintenance, support and supplies. Principle Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions) :
- Act as primary IT contact for any systems issues
- Review periodically system access to ensure everyone at the campus has correct clearance, coordinate and submit all system and access requests for leadership
- Coordinate IT replacements of most hardware
- Work with leasing company on printer maintenance and ordering of printer supplies
- Responsible for new/replacement PC setups
- Manage voice setup, equipment, and RF equipment repairs. Closely tracks voice equipment inventory to promptly identify when equipment is missing
- Coordinate updates, assist with testing, and help support the various IT systems and software for Campus and Transportation
- Set up all new equipment (RF units, handhelds, etc.)
- Resolve all user problems to keep downtime at a minimum
- Responsible for the completion of system backups (if required)
- Keep all equipment including PC and terminal keyboards, printers and monitors clean
- Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
- Strong knowledge of WMS and TMS systems
- Excellent customer service, communication, verbal and written skills
- Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks)
- Reach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.
- Meet production standards set by the company
- Stand for long periods of time
- Read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
- Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties
- Proficient with computer for data entry and research purposes
- Highly motivated, self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple task in a fast-paced environment
- High School education
- Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment
- 3 years of experience with hardware and software systems, maintenance, and technical support
