Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Weekend Night Shift Caregiver – CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) who is fluent in both English and Russian. Duties
- Monitor patient conditions through vigilant observation, including tracking vital signs and recognizing changes in health status
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Administer medications and perform catheter care following medical protocols and home healthcare regulations
- Support patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s by implementing memory care strategies and ensuring a safe environment
- Use electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient information accurately and securely
- Facilitate patient transfers using appropriate methods such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts while maintaining safety standards
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to clients and their families, respecting confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification with active licensure; prior experience in assisted living or nursing home settings preferred
- Bilingual fluency in English and Russian to effectively communicate with diverse clients and team members
- Demonstrated experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring hospice or dementia care
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) including CPR
- Familiarity with home health care assistance, home & community care regulations, and medical documentation practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts
- Strong patient observation skills combined with excellent client communication abilities
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
