Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role requires a blend of caregiving skills, patience, and the ability to follow care plans tailored to each client's needs. The current shifts we have available are Swing Shift M-F 3pm-11pm and Awake NOC Shift 7pm-7:30am Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Both these shifts would be eligible for benefits.
Duties
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Observe and document patient conditions, reporting any significant changes to healthcare professionals.
- Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship.
- Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Support clients with dementia care by employing strategies that promote cognitive engagement and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Provide direct support during hospice care, offering emotional support to both clients and their families.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital sign monitoring is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols is a plus.
- Understanding of dementia care practices and the ability to implement effective strategies is desired.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans while being adaptable to changing client needs.
