Medical Receptionist – Full Time (30–40 Hours)
A busy Social Services / Behavioral Health Agency is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to manage front desk operations. This position requires prior experience in a medical or behavioral health office setting and the ability to handle a high-volume front desk environment.
Schedule
Monday–Friday within the agency’s operating hours of 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM (30–40 hours per week).
Responsibilities
- Operate a multi-line phone system, answer incoming calls, and route calls appropriately
- Greet patients, visitors, and guests in a professional and welcoming manner
- Schedule, confirm, and update patient appointments
- Send appointment reminders and maintain accurate calendars
- Collect patient copays and insurance information as directed
- Maintain and organize billing and patient documentation
- Provide front desk administrative support and perform clerical duties as needed
- Use MS Office, email, and electronic medical record systems (EMR) efficiently
Required Qualifications
To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Front Desk Receptionist in a healthcare or behavioral health setting
- Experience handling multiple phone lines in a busy office
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
- Professional appearance and a friendly, professional phone demeanor
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
