Health Assistants/Member Support Assistant

The Adult Day Center of Somerset County is seeking

HEALTH ASSISTANT/MEMBER SUPPORT ASSISTANT

We have a full-time or part-time position available, 25-35 Hours per Week.

Experience being part of a compassionate community of acceptance, and help improve the quality of life for older adults and their caregivers. We are a busy Adult Day Center that serves vulnerable seniors, adults living with a disability or dementia illness, and provides support and education for their caregiving families.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting members with toileting and personal care
• Assisting members during morning transitions, arrivals, and to and from group activities
• Assisting with daily Range of Motion activities
• Giving one-on-one support to members inside and outside of group activities
• Assisting members at meal time
• Working directly with the Nursing Staff and Activity Staff as needed

Applicants must be patient, compassionate, caring and hardworking with excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. Candidates should also have a sincere desire to work with the elderly and disabled, and people with dementia. Previous experience providing personal care and/or supportive care to adults is preferred, but not required. Also, prior experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) is preferred, but not required.

The Center is open Monday through Friday. NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS.

Compensation: $16.00 per Hour
