is seeking
Part-time Food Service Staff
To oversee/implement entire food service process for the Center. Must be or become a certified Food Handler.
Job Duties:
Responsible for implementing and ensuring safety compliance for daily food processes. This includes check-in/acceptance and preparation processes, serving and clean-up.
Ø Prepare/disinfect kitchen for daily food service
Ø Prepare steam table for food delivery
Ø Accept food delivery from caterer and follow steps to ensure food safety and compliance.
Ø Prepare food for lunch and ensure food is ready for scheduled lunch time.
Ø Serve lunch – dish out plates and hand off to staff for delivery to tables
Ø Clean-up kitchen after lunch service. Wash dishes, serving vessels and implements. Clean kitchen surfaces. Oversee volunteers during table clean-up in the café.
Applicants must be patient, compassionate, caring and hardworking with excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. Candidates should also have a sincere desire to work with the elderly and disabled, and people with dementia.
Previous dietary/food handling experience and Food Handler certification are desired but not required.
The position is part-time, 27.5 hours per week. The Center is open Monday through Friday. .
Pay: $16.00 per hour to start
