POSITION: Temporary Adult Labor After-hour GED/ABE Teachers All Subjects
POSITION DATES/TIMES LOCATION
(2) Teachers - Monday/Wednesday 5:00-8:30PM OPHS
(2) Teachers - Tuesday/Thursday 5:00-8:30PM OPHS
PAY: $26.00 per hour
DESCRIPTION:
ABE/GED teachers deliver instruction in Math/Science, Reading-Language Arts/Social Studies. Students are provided a blended instructional model using an online platform and direct teacher instruction. Teachers utilize small group and/or one-on-one instruction.
Staffing based on student enrollment and attendance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold an active teaching contract with Clay County District Schools (certified teacher).
- Adherence to all required paperwork and attendance reporting procedures.
- Completes CASAS certification.
- Attend ACE Teacher Trainings and Meetings.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification in one or more academic areas of Math, Reading, Social Studies, & Science.
- Knowledge of current best teaching practices.
- Ability to differentiate instruction.
- Ability to work with various grade levels.

BACKGROUND SCREENING:
All prospective employees must submit to a Level 2 background check pursuant to Florida State Statute 435.04 and be found eligible by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. The background check will include, but is not limited to, fingerprinting for statewide criminal history records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, national criminal history records checks through the Federal Bureau of Investigation, local criminal records checks through local law enforcement agencies, and a search of the sexual predator and sexual offender registries of any state in which the prospective employee resided during the immediate preceding 5 years.
