What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult Education Testing Para (PT PM 5:15 - 8:30 PM) position at Adult Basic Education (ABE)?
Reporting Structure:
The Registration Paraprofessional Reports directly to the Coordinator of Data and Outcomes at Wayne Township Adult Education.
Performance Agreement:
The Wayne Township Adult Education (WTAE) Registration Para will perform all aspects of the communicated job description. This employee will effectively meet performance expectations of the MSD of Wayne Township. Formal performance evaluation will be conducted annually.
Purpose: To provide functional assistance to the BDU registration team, welcome students into the testing area, proctor all TABE tests, support registration team and Data and Outcomes Coordinator with any needs.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
DOMAIN I: REGISTRATION & TESTING PREPARATION
- Accesses appropriate sites on all student laptops/computers
- Prints and organizes testing tickets
- Check student ID upon entrance into testing room
- Completes registration attendance
- Ensures teen students have all paperwork completed
- Supports students in completing registration, ALPs, and photo IDs
DOMAIN II: TABE PROCTORING
- Creates calm, positive, and inclusive testing environment
- Explains testing procedures to students
- Maintains quiet testing environment
- Provide appropriate testing materials (scrap paper, pencil, calculator, headphones)
- Ensures that all TABE/DRC/DWD testing policies are followed (i.e. no phones, breaks only after section completion, no headphones, etc).
- Reports any concerns to registration staff
