As a QBHP, you will provide therapeutic support under the supervision of a licensed therapist or psychologist, helping clients navigate and overcome various mental health challenges. You’ll deliver a range of services, including counseling, psychotherapy, and behavior modification, using evidence-based practices to promote healing, build resilience, and enhance overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy services under the supervision of a licensed therapist or psychologist.

  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments, including intake, screening, and diagnostic evaluations.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans that address client goals and meet state, accreditation, and agency standards.

  • Deliver counseling and evidence-based interventions to support behavioral change and emotional well-being.

  • Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated client care.

  • Document all client interactions, services, and progress notes accurately and timely in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.

  • Monitor client progress and update treatment plans as needed.

  • Handle crisis situations, providing immediate support and coordination of emergency services.

  • Support clients through the transition and discharge process, ensuring continuity of care.

  • Represent the organization professionally within the community, maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality.

  • Complete required training and continuing education to maintain compliance and professional growth.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marital/Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field.

  • Experience providing therapeutic or counseling services preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Required License/Certification (One of the Following):

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

  • Or eligibility for licensure under applicable state board

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of behavioral health treatment modalities, diagnostic criteria, and evidence-based interventions.

  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document accurately and concisely.

  • Demonstrated cultural competence and commitment to ethical, trauma-informed care.

  • Proficiency in managing caseloads, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to agency and state standards.

  • Comfortable providing telehealth services (training provided).

  • Ability to follow direction, accept supervision, and work both independently and collaboratively.
