Distribution Team Lead

Summary:

This Supply Chain leadership position helps to supervise Distribution Center activities for (east or west) ADT distribution sites.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide floor leadership to up to 30 direct labor employees.
• Assist manager in achieving DC metrics including, but not limited to, maintaining specific labor costs, quality goals, and on time shipments.
• Responsible for assisting manager to ship 1-2M order lines and $150-$300M in cost of goods sold each year. Shipments are a mix of direct to consumer and to internal customers (branches/technicians).
• Directly or indirectly help to manage $40-$90M of inventory throughout the year.
• Monitor performance of direct labor associates and ensure required daily tasks are prioritized and executed.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and 5S activities for operational excellence.
• Maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of the facility, adhering to all applicable safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with both internal and external stake holders.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to lead a supervise a team of up to 30 employees.
• Ability to motivate employees to meet/exceed required metrics all while fostering a teamwork-based environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate (written/verbal) with all levels of employees including direct labor associates, peer management groups, and senior leadership team members both within and outside of Supply Chain.
• Ability to delegate tasks/responsibilities to direct employees as needed for optimal performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or higher level of education.
• 3 years warehouse and logistics experience with proven leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to motivate employees to meet/exceed required metrics all while fostering a teamwork-based environment.
• Skilled in all Microsoft applications.
• Skilled in Oracle Inventory, WMS, and TMS applications.
• Oracle EBS or Cloud experience preferred.

Working Conditions:

Physical Requirements:

• Stand 70 % of the day.
• Standing, stooping, lifting, walking distribution center floor 30-40% of day.
• Ability to lift boxes weighing 50 lbs. or less.

Environment Requirements:

• This is not a work from home position; employee must report to Distribution Center locations for work each day.

Travel:

• Occasionally, less than 25%.
