Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients according to established recipes and safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas through regular cleaning, sanitizing surfaces, and proper waste disposal
- Support food running and serving duties to ensure timely delivery of orders to guests
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment using safe lifting practices
- Buss tables, clear dishes, and assist in maintaining an organized dining environment for guests
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and transactions
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with banquet setups and catering events as needed to support large-scale service demands
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure guest satisfaction in person or via radio communication
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices is a plus
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting techniques
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Prior banquet or hospitality experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during shifts
