Position Overview

As a Marine Electrician at Adrenaline Powerboats, you will be responsible for the installation, integration, troubleshooting, and service of complex marine electrical systems. You must be highly skilled, detail-oriented, and capable of executing clean, reliable, and corrosion-resistant work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, wire, and commission complete marine electrical systems
  • Read, interpret, and execute electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Ensure all work complies with ABYC standards and U.S. Coast Guard regulations
  • Install and configure advanced marine electronics and systems, including:
  • Generators and shore power systems
  • Garmin navigation systems and full network integration
  • NMEA systems and data networks
  • Pumps (bilge, ballast, freshwater, etc.)
  • JL Audio marine sound systems
  • Mercury engine electrical systems and programming
  • Properly terminate, seal, and protect wiring to prevent corrosion and ensure longevity
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently and accurately
  • Service and maintain systems you and the team have installed
  • Ensure proper load management and safe power distribution across all onboard systems
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional workspaces

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience as a Marine Electrician (high-performance or custom vessels preferred)
  • Deep working knowledge of:
  • ABYC standards
  • Marine electrical systems and rigging best practices
  • NMEA networking and modern marine electronics
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems
  • Strong understanding of power management, battery systems, and charging systems
  • Experience with Garmin and Mercury systems integration and programming

Education & Certifications

  • GED or High School Diploma required
  • ABYC Certification (Marine Electrical Certification strongly preferred)
  • Relevant technical training, trade school, or marine electrical coursework preferred
  • Manufacturer certifications (Garmin, Mercury, JL Audio, etc.) are a plus
