Job Summary:
The Sales Manager’s primary responsibility is to develop and implement multifaceted strategies for group and meeting functions. This role works closely with the Area Director of Sales, Area Sales Manager, F&B Managers, and Sales Coordinator to ensure the success of groups/meetings.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Solicit new and existing accounts to attract new business, prioritizing guest rooms and meeting space.
- Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts
- Prepare information for and meet with clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account
- Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to all departments in the hotel to ensure high quality of service to customers
- Coordinate catering and properly evaluate profit margins.
- Create collateral, signage, BEOs, and menus
- Support the sales team by managing group files, organizing important documents, and ensuring timely collection of deposits as per contract due dates
- Participate in daily business review meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma preferred
- Previous Sales experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shift.
- Must be able to access and navigate the facility.
- Employees are required to adhere to safety requirements by wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Work is routine and repetitive in nature and may require strenuous physical exertion at times, including the ability to move objects weighing up to 50lbs.
