Job Title: Mechanic

POSITION OVERVIEW: Eligible for monthly bonus's!
Responsible for inspecting and testing vehicles, completing preventive maintenance such as tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, alignments, oil changes, replacing filters, and fluid exchanges.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completed vehicle inspection every time and communicates to the front counter the items that may need to be repaired.
- Consistently inspect and recommend needed repairs and/or services using the vehicles inspection report. Submit proper completion of Vehicle Inspection Report
- Perform vehicle alignments according to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Responsible for maintaining shop equipment and safety practices.
- Detect and perform mechanical issues, installation and repairs to brake, steering, suspension, transmission etc.
- Service customer vehicles according to Commercial Tires guidelines.
- Recommend products and services as needed.
- Able to quote repairs.
- May initiate purchase orders for parts; support and track purchasing and returns.
- Completes all necessary training within 1 year and is required to maintain certifications.
- ASE A7 – Heat and Air Systems or 609 AC
- ASE A6 – Electrical Systems
- 609 AC certification is required for air conditioning service repair.
- Supports company safety and operational standards and adheres to all audit requirements.
- Assist with phones, front counter, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS – Required.
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
- 3 to 5 years related experience and/or technical training.
- ASE certification A4 and A5
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FUNCTIONS
Physical Demands:
- Standing: 80% | Walking: 70% | Sitting: 5%
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and walking on uneven surfaces
- Frequent lifting/carrying: up to 50 lbs
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for grasping and dexterity
- Constant visual, auditory, and verbal communication required
Work Environment:
- Frequent exposure to noise, dirt, dust, mechanical vibration, fumes, and outdoor conditions
- Occasional work in extreme heat/cold or wet/humid environments
- Occasional hazards due to mechanical equipment and moving objects
Equipment Operated:
- Computer and Keyboard
- Tire machines, compressors, air tools and hand tools
- Company-provided software and system for work orders and inventory
- Required to use protective gear (PPE)
