About the Role:


The Calibration Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurement instruments and equipment used across various operational processes. This position is responsible for performing precise calibration procedures, maintaining calibration records, and troubleshooting equipment discrepancies to uphold quality standards. The specialist collaborates closely with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and compliance with industry regulations. By maintaining calibration integrity, the role directly contributes to product quality, safety, and operational efficiency. Ultimately, the Calibration Specialist ensures that all measurement tools meet stringent performance criteria, enabling the organization to deliver consistent and reliable results.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Associate degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Electronics, or a related technical field.

  • Proven experience in calibration of industrial measurement instruments and equipment.

  • Strong understanding of calibration standards, procedures, and documentation practices.

  • Familiarity with calibration tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, pressure gauges, and temperature sensors.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and calibration certificates.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Certification as a Calibration Technician (e.g., from the American Society for Quality or equivalent).

  • Experience working in regulated industries such as aerospace, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and measurement system analysis (MSA).

  • Proficiency with calibration management software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.


Responsibilities:



  • Perform routine and non-routine calibration of measurement instruments and equipment according to established procedures and standards.

  • Document calibration results accurately and maintain detailed records to ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve calibration issues or equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quality control, process improvements, and equipment maintenance activities.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO/IEC 17025 and company-specific quality management systems.
