Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:30am - 6:00pm with alternating Saturdays

About the Role:

This is a Full-Time Greeter position. The Greeter plays a vital role as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff within a healthcare setting, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. This position is responsible for greeting guests, directing patient flows, and creating a welcoming environment. The Greeter supports the smooth functioning of the healthcare facility by maintaining smooth work-flow operations, coordinating communication between patients and receptionists, and assisting with patient inquiries. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare or related environment.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures.
• Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish or other commonly spoken languages in the community.
• Certification in medical office administration or related fields.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
• Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff to facilitate smooth operations.
• Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance information and collecting necessary documentation.
• Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials.

Skills:

The Receptionist utilizes strong communication skills daily to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff, ensuring clear and compassionate exchanges. Organizational skills are essential for managing appointment schedules, maintaining accurate records, and handling multiple administrative tasks simultaneously. Proficiency with computer software, including EHR systems and scheduling tools, enables efficient data entry and retrieval, supporting seamless patient flow. Problem-solving skills help address patient inquiries and resolve scheduling conflicts promptly. Additionally, discretion and attention to detail are critical for safeguarding patient information and complying with healthcare privacy regulations.
