Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator and Trailer Driver to join our logistics team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Manage order picking to ensure accurate shipping and receiving.
- Load and unload trailers efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with materials handling tasks including heavy lifting, stacking, and organizing inventory within the warehouse.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow OSHA guidelines and safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support warehouse operations by participating in shipping & receiving activities and maintaining organized work areas.
- Operate cranes or construction-related equipment if required for specific tasks.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with forklift operation, order picker, crane, clamp truck, and pallet jack.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation including materials handling machinery.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety protocols.
- Previous roles involving shipping & receiving or load & unload activities are advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction can be beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership roles in similar environments are a plus for candidates interested in career growth within logistics operations.
