GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Full-Time Receptionist position available in a 3 doctor practice located in Hamburg, NY. Our practice is steadily growing and we are looking to employ an individual willing to continue our quest of optimizing patient care at an affordable price. Individuals must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable, and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment. Competitive pay. Will increase based on experience!
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Serves clients by greeting and welcoming upon arrival.
- Answering phones
- Scheduling appointments
- Finalize client purchase, process payment
- Client education
- Strong communication skills with work team and clients
- Ability to maintain focus and professional presence in stressful (high volume) environment
- Proper patient restraint
- Assist with routine laboratory tests
- Assist in collecting samples for testing
- Maintain a clean hospital/reception environment
- Ability to work in team environment with any duties deemed appropriate by mgmt.
- EXPERIENCE
Minimum of (1) one year customer care, minimum (2) two years' experience assisting in animal hospital environment
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrate good communication skills (writing, spelling, listening, and speaking); basic computer knowledge; demonstrate organizational skills; able to perform and prioritize tasks under the direction of Veterinarian(s), Veterinary Technicians; able to perform work as a team member in fast paced environment; ability to function in stressful (high volume) environment; honest and dependable; professional demeanor and dress; demonstrates willingness to learn.
