Associate Merchant

Adore Me, a subsidiary of Victoria’s Secret & Co. (NYSE: VSCO) since being acquired in December 2022, is seeking an Associate Merchant who will be responsible for developing and driving omni-channel business strategies and seasonal assortment plans based upon a detailed knowledge of the brand, intimate understanding of the customer, and studied appreciation of the competition and overall marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for key meeting prep with sample availability, style & color ranking, deck preparation, and ad hoc requests and analysis, always staying agile and flexible.
• Responsible for ongoing trend analysis and reporting, inclusive of competitive landscape & competitive patterning based on DMM and business guidance.
• Role critically evaluates the assortment and reacts to in-season performance and trends, translating them to future seasons. Associate demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the connection between financial strategies and related merchandise objectives.
• Highly collaborative among cross-functional teams that are both analytical and creative in function. Associate Merchant must be able to seamlessly communicate across teams with relevant information and therefore requires both strong interpersonal skills and an initiative-focused mindset.
• Supports DMM with ownership across all business categories.
• Own roadmap and lineplan architecture maintenance by season in collaboration with DMM
• Manage key communication across cross-functional teams in collaboration with DMM.

Qualifications for the Position

• 2-3 years of experience in merchandising or relevant industry exposure.
• Proficiency in Excel is essential to support sales analysis and data-driven insights.
• Ability and willingness to work on-site at our office in Tribeca on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
• Solutions-based thinking mindset, eager to take action with business impact.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize (with the support of manager)
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Consistently react with urgency while comprehending the overall strategy.
• Clarifies questions as needed, while being self-sufficient in seeking answers using available tools and team members (resilient!).
• Understand the customer’s lifestyle by staying on top of trends, social media, and pop culture as it specifically relates to the customer.
