What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent position at ADORE Homes Inc.?
At ADORE, we believe that the best builders are the ones who use the best tools. You won’t be buried in a trailer under stacks of paper plans. You will be expected to:
- Use BuilderTrend as your "Source of Truth" for scheduling, daily logs, and photo documentation.
- Precision Markups: Utilize Bluebeam for real-time plan reviews, redlines, and ensuring the field matches the design perfectly.
- Instant Sync: Use Slack to maintain a high-speed feedback loop with project managers, partners, and subs—eliminating the "information silos" that plague traditional construction.
- Adoption Mindset: You must feel not just "comfortable" but excited about adopting new digital tools that streamline your work, reduce errors, and help you win.
YOUR IMPACT: BUILDING A LEGACY
You aren’t just a cog in the wheel; you are the driver.
- Foundational Leadership: Help shape the construction culture and trade relationships of a scaling division.
- Career Trajectory: This role is designed to evolve. The successful Superintendent is naturally positioned to grow into our Director of Construction.
- Mentorship: Lead and level up junior field staff, instilling a culture of quality and efficiency.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, Specs & Digital Estimating
- Interpret full construction sets (Arch, Structural, MEP) digitally.
- Perform material takeoffs and develop scopes of work that are "trade-ready."
- Contribute to our internal estimating database to ensure our "estimate-vs-actuals" are razor-sharp.
Site Execution & Quality Control
- Directly supervise all subcontractors, ensuring "ADORE Quality" at every milestone.
- Maintain a pristine, organized jobsite—we build for Silicon Valley’s most discerning clients; the site should reflect that.
- Coordinate all municipal inspections and implement "Readiness Checklists" to ensure we pass the first time, every time.
Communication & Documentation
- Maintain daily digital logs and upload high-quality progress photos/videos to BuilderTrend.
- Manage RFI and submittal processes through to resolution without delays.
- Represent ADORE professionally in client walkthroughs, turning technical construction jargon into clear, confidence-inspiring updates.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years as a Superintendent or Lead Foreman in high-end residential or custom home building.
- Proficiency with BuilderTrend (or Procore/similar).
- A deep understanding of California Building Code and the specific nuances of Bay Area jurisdictions.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a major plus.
- General Contractor License or other trade is a major plus
- Mindset: Self-directed. You see a problem on-site, you Slack a photo with a proposed solution before anyone else even knows there’s an issue.
WHY ADORE HOMES?
- Ground Floor Opportunity: Be a key player in a company building something significant.
- Modern Workflow: Say goodbye to "old school" chaos. We value your time and use tech to protect it.
- Full Benefits: Comprehensive Health, Vision, and Dental insurance.
- The Future: A clear path to senior leadership in a scaling custom home division.
