We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-oriented Gym Front Desk Attendant to be the first point of contact for members and guests at our fitness center. This individual will play a key role in ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and smooth experience for all patrons. The ideal candidate will be proactive, have a strong attention to detail, and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist members and guests upon arrival, providing information about gym services, memberships, and policies.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Process memberships, renewals, and cancellations, ensuring all information is accurately recorded.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining records.
- Resolve member issues or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, escalating to management when necessary.
- Promote and upsell gym services, products, and memberships to potential and existing clients.
- Ensure the gym’s safety and security by monitoring the entry and exit of members and visitors.
- Must be willing to clean the majority of the shift.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Some college preferred).
- Previous customer service or front desk experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of gym equipment and fitness classes is beneficial.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale systems.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
