DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor individuals to ensure safety in regard to medical, health, behavioral, and environmental issues.
- Assist with daily living skills as needed (e.g cleaning, medication administration etc.).
- Implement Person-centered plans and the Outcomes, Goals, and Strategies.
- Complete paperwork as assigned including documentation (e.g., incident reports, progress notes, behavior data, drills etc.).
- Assist with Employment Support, Banking and Budgeting and Shopping,
- Plan, assist, and participate in community outings with individuals (e.g. visiting family, friends, church/temple, shopping, games etc.).
- Maintain living environment in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) and health department standards.
- Accompany individuals on medical emergencies as needed.
- Work with individuals as assigned by Supervisor.
- Complete all agency required trainings for position.
Experience
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Prior experience caring for people with disabilities such as cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping etc
- Hands-on experience with patient monitoring, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and care planning is essential
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of individual's information is required
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, social workers, families, and residents to deliver comprehensive support
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is a MUST to respond effectively during emergencies
REQUIRED:
A valid driver's license - Good driving record (3 Year Driving Record Needed)
Reliable transportation and valid car insurance
Active DDA Certification
Active CMT Certificaton
Active CPR/First Aid Certification
MandT Certificate (Can be aquired later)
Blood Borne Pathogen
Ability to pass background check
High energy
Pay: $17.90 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 hours per week
Shift: 930am to 530pm - 6 days a week
Monday - Saturday
