Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct routine floor care including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance
- Handle trash removal and recycling processes efficiently to ensure cleanliness throughout the facility
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any repairs or shortages promptly
- Follow safety procedures during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards
- Support industrial cleaning projects or specialized custodial tasks when required to meet operational needs
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, residential, or industrial settings
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care including buffing and polishing, and facilities maintenance practices
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, carpet cleaners, and pressure washers safely and effectively
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if necessary
