We are seeking a passionate and energetic Dog Care Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will be the primary caregiver for our canine guests, ensuring they receive top-quality pet care, training, and attention. Your enthusiasm and animal handling skills will help create a positive experience for both dogs and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to dogs during boarding, daycare, and grooming sessions, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior and socialization
- Handle dogs safely using proper animal restraint techniques and handling procedures
- Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to keep dogs clean and healthy
- Monitor dogs’ health and behavior, reporting any concerns or veterinary needs promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized environment in kennels, play areas, and grooming stations
- Offer excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs and well-being
Requirements
- Experience with dog training, handling, or veterinary assistance is highly preferred
- Background in veterinary technology or animal care is a plus
- Knowledge of pet grooming, pet sitting, or kennel operations is advantageous
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain animals when necessary
- Ability to perform heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds comfortably
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude
- Prior experience as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is beneficial
- Passion for animals and dedication to providing compassionate care
