The Opportunity
The Senior Director of Marquee Experiences and Executive/Industry-led marketing will drive pipeline creation & progression objectives by active leadership and management of Adobe’s Marquee Events, Executive Marketing and Briefings, and field marketing in our Industry-led segment. You and your team will be the creative force behind many of our highest-profile marketing efforts, and will regularly talk to senior executives from Adobe and our customers. You will have the skill to imagine and complete high impact, pipeline-driving events and the experience / executive presence to lead effectively through influence in a matrixed organization while being highly strategic and pragmatic.
What you'll Do
- Partner with Head of Americas Sales, Ops staff, Sales Leadership, and the Marketing Leadership Team to create and complete events driving pipeline creation and progression with targeted customers and prospects
- Regularly review key Marketing critical metrics related to the events and the Industry-led segment with Sales and Marketing leadership, developing action plans to address gaps
- Develop and implement detailed event plans, including souring of Adobe Executives, external speakers, content, and “live” event logistics
- Collaborate with Ops staff and other team members to develop executive participation and presence at large events
- Work with key leaders in GMS and other internal collaborators as needed to use full Adobe capabilities at DX events
- Establish meaningful targets for event registration, attendance/impact, and pipeline creation and progression
- Develop and deliver regular reporting on pre-event, during-event, and post-event performance against established targets
- Develop and coordinate Ops Staff/Executive communications around Executive events
- Develop and deliver high-quality executive briefings for top customers & prospects through the Customer Briefing Program / CEC
- Advocate and sponsor marketing technology requirements and systems to improve process, reporting and outcomes
What you need to succeed
- BA/BS degree; MBA ideal
- 10 years designing and implementing high-impact events driving pipeline and/or sales
- Proven ability to motivate and lead senior, highly experienced direct reports
- Strong track record of successfully driving the logistics behind high-profile, brand-essential events, including vendor sourcing and negotiation
- Experience driving cross-functional consensus with multiple partners required
- Direct experience with B2B marketing and sales of digital/software products strongly preferred
