POSITION PURPOSE
We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks. The Accounting Clerk's responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements. You will also run accounting software programs to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expenses, and receipts. A successful Accounting Clerk should be familiar with standard accounting procedures and have a passion for numbers. Ultimately, you will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
- Monitor centralized accounting inbox and provide assistance, information, and support to employees and vendors
- Enter key financial data along with supporting documentation into the accounting system (including A/P, A/R, Receipts, etc.)
- Manage the centralized purchasing process and assist with office and medical supply inventory management for offices and field staff
- Research, track, and update accounting data and documentation issues and discrepancies
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts in a timely manner
- Compile reports/summaries on activity areas as necessary
- Book travel for employees for special events through the travel management platform
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and all applicable laws
- Keep sensitive information confidential
- All other duties as assigned
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years of accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Competency in MS Office (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and QuickBooks Online
- Ability to prioritize accuracy, attention to detail, and organization

- High school degree or general education degree (GED) required
- Associate Degree or relevant certification preferred
