Job Summary

The Adobe Bar & Grille Supervisor – PM Shift supports the daily operations of the restaurant, with a primary focus on closing the restaurant and ensuring it’s fully prepared for upscale service for lunch and dinner. This hands-on role works closely with front-of-house staff to deliver a consistent and high-standard dining experience for members and guests. At times, this position may assist with other shifts, as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities listed below are essential to the employee’s position.

Close the Restaurant and Prepare for Service:

  • Complete all closing duties including in the dining area, service stations, verifying POS system end of day processes, and confirming all supplies are stocked and organized.
  • Ensure Pantry is cleaned and closed.
  • Ensure all scheduled Restaurant and Pantry staff have reported for their shifted and are ready for service including dress attire. Supervise team performance and seek guidance from management, senior leadership, or human resources when issues/concerns arise that require additional support.
  • Ensure On-Course staff are present for their scheduled shift, have received their assigned cash bank, and are fully prepared to begin beverage service on the golf course. Ensured closed-out at end of night.

Support FOH Team Operations:

  • Works alongside FOH staff to ensure efficient and smooth service flow, especially during peak lunch or dinner periods.

Ensure Readiness and Presentation Standards:

  • Maintain cleanliness in dining room and public space areas.
  • Perform routine checks on restrooms, service areas, and supply stock ensure the restaurant is ready at all times.

Act as Point of Contact During Service:

  • Assist in resolving service issues or guest concerns during shift. Escalate to management when necessary.
  • Communicate with kitchen, as necessary, for special requests, dietary restrictions, or time-sensitive issues.

Lead by Example:

  • Able to provide on-the-floor support, guidance and professionalism.
  • Reinforce a positive service culture with the team.
  • Cross-trains in all front of house positions.

Other:

  • May support other shifts as required by business needs.
  • Participates in meetings, taste tests, and training.
  • Conform with all safety standards and use of all appropriate safety equipment.
  • Follow good personal hygiene guidelines.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

Education and Experience Required

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum 2 year's relevant restaurant supervisor working experience.

Computer Skills

Required:

  • Ability to use POS system
  • Ability to use employee self-service on company’s human resources/payroll database
  • Ability to use the company’s scheduling platform
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Required: Position may utilize golf carts; thus, must have a valid driver’s license.

Must be at least 19 years of age.

Must have a Manager Level Food Certification

Must have a Title 4 AZ Liquor Certification

Other: Regular attendance is required. Additional hours including weekends may be required on a regular basis to fulfill duties of position. Seeks approval before overtime is incurred. At times, an individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.

The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The Employee frequently lifts and/or moves between twenty-five (25) and fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, ability to adjust focus, and manual dexterity in combination with eye/hand coordination. Auditory abilities required by this job include the ability to accurately hear information conveyed to guests and members and the ability to work effectively in areas with ambient noise. The work environment is subject to interruptions, varying and unpredictable situations and time pressures related to multiple tasks. There is extensive repetitive motion in using hands/wrists.

Work Environment

This position primarily works both indoors and outdoors. At times, extreme temperatures may be part of the environment.

Work requires exposure to temperatures sufficiently high to cause bodily discomfort. The noise level is usually moderate.

Schedules vary and may include weekends, holidays, etc. as determined by business needs.

OSHA Category

Category I: Position engages in activities that with a high risk of coming into direct contact with blood and body fluids for which specific precautions must be taken. This position has been identified as Category I as it is most likely to attend to kitchen burns, accidents, or injuries.
