Position Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Land Surveyor / Manager to lead survey operations for a variety of civil and transportation projects. This senior-level role oversees multiple field crews and office staff, ensuring high-quality project delivery, client satisfaction, and team development within a stable, employee-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and supervise the daily activities of multiple field crews and office technicians.

Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain strong client relationships.

Collaborate with state and local agencies on roadway, utility, and infrastructure survey projects.

Support business development through proposal preparation and client engagement.

Mentor and coach staff through regular performance reviews and professional development planning.
Required Qualifications

Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license, or eligibility to sit for the exam within six (6) months of hire (exam fees covered).

Minimum 12 years of land surveying experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.

Proven experience with DOT and municipal projects.

Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation / OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Strong understanding of federal, state, and local survey regulations.

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Technology, or related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in subsurface utility locating and designating.

Familiarity with LiDAR, aerial mapping, or small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) operations.
Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $85,000 - $145,000, based on experience and licensure.

Sign-on Bonus: $5,000 - $10,000 after 90 days (relocation support available).
