Pay Rate: USD $74.69 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technician to join a dynamic hospital-based imaging team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging services while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care. This position involves performing specialized imaging procedures, collaborating with physicians and clinical staff, and supporting emergency and on-call operations.

• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are ready for procedures.

• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents as required to obtain clear, diagnostic-quality images.

• Position patients accurately and comfortably for interventional and diagnostic radiologic procedures.

• Operate imaging systems and enter scan parameters, monitoring image quality and adjusting as necessary.

• Monitor patient condition throughout procedures, ensuring comfort, safety, and adherence to radiation protection protocols.

• Produce diagnostic images and communicate critical information promptly to physicians.

• Maintain accurate patient records, reports, and procedural documentation.

• Organize and manage daily procedure schedules, including preparation for emergency or add-on cases.

• Perform administrative duties such as answering technical questions, assisting with scheduling, and offering pre-procedure guidance to patients.

• Ensure proper inventory of radiologic supplies and maintain cleanliness and functionality of imaging equipment.

• Conduct regular equipment checks and coordinate repairs or maintenance as needed.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technician.

• Valid ASRT certification required.

• Active Connecticut DPH License required.

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

• Must be available for weekend on-call rotations (every other weekend).

• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Strong knowledge of radiation safety, imaging protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.

• Experience in neuro or vascular interventional radiology procedures.

• Proficiency with advanced imaging technologies and PACS systems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with patients, physicians, and healthcare teams.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
